Vote YES! It’s a smart, $600,000,000 plan developed by citizens from across our community.

“There is so much to like in the fiscally responsible Mesquite ISD bond package. New schools and classrooms. More learning technology. Programs to protect students and teachers. And our tax rate stays .41¢ lower than 7 years ago! Please join leaders across our community in voting YES on May 3 – and provide our students with a bright and prosperous future.”

Dr. David Vroonland
Former Mesquite ISD Superintendent

Vote YES! Build new schools, Pre-K facility & classroom space.

By voting YES on May 3, we can provide a new elementary school to replace two outdated campuses, build a new pre-k facility to prepare our young students, and add new classroom space in growing neighborhoods. With these modern schools, we can continue providing every student the highest level of instruction.

Vote YES! Maintain our quality schools & academics.

Countless studies show students learn best in safe and modern schools – this was a top concern of the community-driven facilities planning committee that helped develop the bond package. With your support, we can ensure all students have access to the same level of academic and career training instruction that’s been the focus of MISD for decades.

Vote YES! Protect students & teachers on every campus.

Our students deserve to learn in schools and classrooms safe from violent crime. The bond referendum will fund district-wide security technology and improvements, including perimeter fencing, secure entrances, AI-enhanced crime prevention software, storm shelters and modern fire protection systems.

Vote YES! Modernize MISD’s instructional technology.

Today’s economy and the jobs it requires are driven by modern technology. To keep our community prosperous and attracting new jobs for working families, the facilities planning committee made sure the bond package included district-wide instructional technology replacement, new computers, learning tablets and audio/visual equipment for enhanced classroom presentations.

Vote YES! Provide basic maintenance & upgrades across the district.

Did you know the average age of Mesquite ISD facilities is 30 years old? Much like a home, it takes ongoing maintenance and updates to protect against expense repairs and problems later. The bond referendum will help pay for new roofs, basic maintenance, infrastructure upgrades, bus replacements and transportation center updates.
